On 25 July the Council adopted reinforced EU sanctions in view of the situation in Ukraine. The Council’s Committee of Permanent Representatives (COREPER) also discussed the preparatory work on further targeted measures.
Ahead of further COREPER deliberations, we have collected what EU affairs think tanks said on Ukraine in the course of 2014. Some of the papers trace the origins of the crisis, others draw scenarios for the way forward, while others still wonder to what extent we are entering a new ‘Cold War’.
There are those with a focus on specific aspects such as on information warfare, weapons of mass destruction, and the role of migration flows. And there are papers focusing on the relationship between Ukraine and NATO, the stance taken by the Visegrad countries, and much more.
The latest Think Tank Review also has a section on Ukraine.
