What are you reading this summer?

The holidays are coming and thoughts are turning to summer reading and what to choose for those long, lazy days in the sun.

Books are surely one of the most important travel companions. So if you hate to be at the seaside (or lakeside or poolside or in fact anywhere) without a book to hand, you’ve come to the right place.

To give you some inspiration, the Library team has recommended some great beach reads.

Have we sparked your curiosity? Then come and discover these and other books, which are all available in the Library.

Would you also like to have online access to interesting EU-related articles? If the answer is yes, we have something for you!

The Library’s Think Tank Review (TTR) includes a vast selection of papers and articles ranging from more general topics such as EU Politics and Institutions or Economic and Financial Affairs, to more specific subcategories like Competitiveness or Transport, Telecommunications and Energy. The result of our work is available online on the Library Resources blog. Each article is introduced by a short abstract and a link which leads the reader to a free-of-charge and fully downloadable text. In July, we will publish the ordinary monthly TTR, as well as a special issue on the UK referendum.

The Library is open to all staff of the Council of the European Union and the European Council, trainees, Permanent Representations of Member States, staff of other EU Institutions and bodies, as well as to researchers and students (upon appointment by e-mail at library@consilium.europa.eu). Access to some Library holdings might be restricted to on-site consultation.
