WELCOME to the blog of the Library of the General Secretariat of the Council of the EU, an information service for staff and delegates at the Council. We use this blog to disseminate – and discuss if you wish – the bibliographical and research products of the Library, such as the monthly Review of think-tank publications.
We also use this blog to engage with a wider audience and share new or topical information and research on EU affairs by means of our Resource Alerts as well as background notes.
The Library has a reading room with monographs and journals in EU studies, political science and international relations from all EU Member States. You can search them using our catalogue. The reading room and online resources are open to researchers on appointment.
The materials on these pages are primarily addressed to the staff of the Council of the EU. Some of the links may be accessible only from a subscribing institution. Any views expressed are the personal views of their author, they do not represent the position of the Council.

Sur le site web du Conseil de l’Union européenne, vous avez accès aux documents de la CIG 2007. Pour les documents archivés de moins de 30 ans, vous devez envoyer une demande à l’Unité de la Transparence. Vous pouvez également consulter les titres relatifs à ce sujet figurant dans le catalogue de la Bibliothèque Centrale du Conseil. Outre les quelques 62 titres disponibles en français, nous vous recommandons les ouvrages de Jean-Claude Piris (préfacé par Angela Merkel), “The Lisbon treaty : a legal and political analysis” et celui de Paul Craig, “The Lisbon treaty : law, politics, and treaty reform“. Par ailleurs, nous vous suggérons également d’autres sélections de documents disponibles sur le site du CVCE et sur Archive of European Integration de l’université de Pittsburgh.
